Critical Illness Protection Plan helps provide financial support if you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness. With the expense of treatment often high, seeking the treatment you need could seem like a financial burden. ​​​​​​​

Critical Illness Protection Plan pays a lump sum payment base on the plan option you enrolled (Option A or Option B) that can be used in any way you choose, and benefits are paid in addition to any other insurance coverage you may have. ​​​​​​​

All benefit eligible employees have the option to purchase Critical Illness Insurance Protection Plan through UHC. Under critical illness you have the two plan options. 
  • Option A 
    • Employee $10,000 – Spouse/Child(ren) $5,000

  • Option B
    • Employee $20,000 – Spouse/Child(ren) $10,000​​​​​​​

Accidental Insurance Plan

The Accidental Protection Plan is designed to provide financial support to employees in the event of an accident. This plan offers a safety net by paying out cash benefits directly to the insured employee.

Accidents can happen to anyone, at any time. While comprehensive Medical/Rx insurance is designated to cover the cost of treatment, this supplemental (off the job) Accident Policy offered through United HealthCare can help to pay those out-of-pocket costs or help pay whatever else you may need. With Accidental Insurance Plan from United HealthCare, you can gain the advantage of financial support, thanks to the cash benefits paid directly to you.

How it works?

This coverage pays you cash benefits that correspond with hospital and intensive care confinement. Your plan may also include coverage for a variety of occurrences, such as:
  • dismemberment
  • dislocation or fracture
  • ambulance services
  • physical therapy and more

Hospital Indemnity Protection Plan

Hospital Indemnity Protection Plan pays a cash benefit directly to employees to help cover the costs of hospital expenses including admission and daily confinement. To reach a team member call 1-800-539-0038.

Being confined to a hospital can be financially devastating. While comprehensive Medical/Rx Insurance is designed to assist with this cost, Allstate supplemental Hospital Indemnity policy pays a policyholder (you) a lump sum. Generally, you can only change your benefit choices during the annual enrollment period. However, you may be able to change your coverage throughout the year if you experience a Qualified Family Status Change.

This coverage pays a cash benefit for hospital confinement.
Two plans are offer Option A and Option B. The cash benefits can be used to help pay for deductibles, treatment, rent and more!

If you are enrolling in a High Deductible Health Plan, like the Choice Plus HSA, Hospital Indemnity helps cover out-of-pocket cost, by providing cash benefits that can be used towards your medical expenses or any other financial needs during a hospital stay.
